My Work

I built this house

As a framing foreman, I supervised a crew of framers for residential construction and remodeling. This house was one of the projects I supervised.

I remodeled these offices

As an assistant superintendent for Amaron Construction, I worked on a number of tenant improvement projects, including many at this business park in Orange County.

I wrote this code

As an assistant project manager and data analyst at Complete Merchant Solutions (CMS), I wrote thousands of lines of code to capture, store, and analyze data on billions of dollars of transactions.

I created this network

As the Director of IT at CMS, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of numerous servers, devices, and workstations. When CMS moved to its new office, I managed the creation of a completely new network.

I designed this house

As a hobby, I drew up these plans using Revit based on sketches made by my father. The house has not yet been built, so the plans remain incomplete.

I scheduled this project

As part of my course work for my bachelor's degree in Construction Management, I simulated the scheduling of a multi-phase construction project of a hotel.

I estimated these costs

Working as an estimator for A Touch of Spanish Stucco and Stone, I prepared, submitted, and won the successful bid for this grocery store in Midway as well as numerous other projects in northern and central Utah.

About Me

I went to BYU

I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2010 with a degree in Construction Management.

I love the outdoors

I feel very at home when I am far from home. Hiking, backpacking, and camping are especially enjoyable to me.

I like sports

I am especially good at watching sports, but I also like playing. I'm a big fan of BYU athletics, Real Salt Lake, and the Utah Jazz. While in college, I was in the presidency of the BYU student-fan association called Cougar United.

I'm kind of a nerd

I had to say I like sports before fessing up to this, but I have extensive experience with computers and technology. I've worked with hardware, configured networks, designed websites, written code, and managed databases.

I am passionate about construction

When I was three years old, we poured some footings for an addition to our house. That day, after staring and watching for hours, I drew a picture of the construction equipment and had it labeled "I love this day!" I still get excited about building things.

I speak Spanish

I spent two years as a missionary in Uruguay. I learned the language, served families and communities, and led and trained other missionaries.
